Azimut Yachts is an Italian yacht manufacturing company based in Avigliana, Turin. It was founded in 1969 by Paolo Vitelli. The company started with sailing yacht chartering, then turned into a large luxury yacht construction sector. The first major work began with a contract at the shipyard of Amerglass, a modern Dutch shipyard that produces fiberglass boats.
The business has improved rapidly, adding to the distribution of sailboats, motor cruisers, and finally motor yachts from different manufacturers.
